Miracles not deserved!

Wow this last week has been amazing. let me tell you about it. So I went on exchanges with Elder Crowe who is my God father in the mission. We sadly had to do a lot of driving but we had a lot of good talks. We had the opportunity to go to an Elderly Lady's house to give her a blessing. When we got there immediately felt the love that everyone had for their mother/grandma. We walked into Ann's room and her daughter woke her up to tell her we were here. I was privileged to act as the voice in the blessing. The spirit filled the room and I couldn't help but notice that it helped everyone who witnessed it more than it helped the recipient. I am happy was able to be part of it.

This entire week has been really good. We have been working really hard and returning to the flat exhausted. This week as we have found it seems like people are just willing to meet up and listen to what we have to say. We were able to teach a lot. We set up a ton of appointments for this week as well.

We were GQing with the gospel art book. We stopped people and asked them what they saw. We stopped this guy and he said he would like to learn more right then. So we met with him in the costa and the spirit filled that coffee shop. He is preparing himself for Baptism. We are stoked about that.

We are loving life. Honestly we don't deserve these blessings that we are getting. It seems like with every effort that we put into the work he blesses us so much more. I am just happy to be a missionary. Sorry I don't have much time. I love this work. I love you all. Keep it real.

Wow Work

I don't know how to describe what I am feeling right now. I am so grateful to be a missionary. This last, if you look at it on paper, was a hard one. I don't think it was though. I found and been rejected most of this week because a lot of our investigators have been dodging us. That is ok though because you know what? the gospel is so true. If someone doesn't want it right now that is fine because I can offer it to the next person.

We traveled to Dublin on Friday and we slept over at another missionaries flat. There were 18 of us there because of moves so I slept on the hard wood floor. haha it was terrible. I told my trainer that I could do the white ninja challenge and I would do it when I get home from my mission. He said there is no way I could do it....I am believing him now. anyway, I got my companion Elder Harvey. He is from Alpine Utah. He is awesome. He loves soccer and he is a really good missionary. One thing I really admire about him is he is always finding. No matter where we are he will be telling people about the gospel. He is a really good missionary.

Shout out to my Friend Terry Bailey. He has just ended his mission in the Spain Madrid mission. He is an incredible missionary. He will kill it at home.
haha Sorry there wasn't much to tell you about for this week. Elder Harvey and I one night had an epic Nerf War. Sometimes as a missionary unwinding is the best thing you can do. Life as a missionary is fun.

I love ya. I am hearing about a lot of cool things you are all doing. I am hearing about what I am "missing out on." Let me just tell you that there is no place I would rather be than in Sligo as a missionary. You keep it real my friends.

So a lot of these pictures are of some of my  friends that are leaving the Dublin Zone

Elder Davis
Elder Gullion (he was also trained in Portadown)
Elder Wilson
and Elder Tolk.

It is for the GG (Greater Good)

So we got Moves Call and Elder Udy is leaving. I was pretty bummed out because he is awesome. But I guess it is for the Greater Good. He is going to Dumbarton in Scotland and I will be getting Elder Harvey. I don't know anything about him. But he will be my favorite companion.

So this last week that I had with Elder Udy was really good. We were able to teach a lot of people. We got new investigators in ways we would never have thought of. We bought this banjo performers CD then we told him about our standards and he was so impressed he met with us. Our first lesson was on the commandments and it was awesome. The spirit was really strong and we committed him to live the word of Wisdom on the first lesson. He is from Holland and he doesn't know how to read in English so we will need to get him a Dutch BOM. We are also helping some our investigators with this dance class and while we were there a women came up to us and was like. "You are Mormons? I thought you Mormons were weird but you seem pretty cool. Could we sit down after dance class and you can tell me about your church?" It was pretty awesome.

Sorry I don't have too much time. I want you to know that this gospel is true. it really is. If we live it then we are happy. Just move forward with your life don't let past mistakes hold you back. don't let fear of the future discourage you. Focus on how you can be your best in the here and now. The Lord will bless your faith. I am proud to be a missionary. have all of the typical experiences that happen to missionaries. Speaking of which I had so many people try to Bash with me this week. They were all really hostile attacking right off the bat. I felt the spirit as I testified. I could see how far I have come in my testimony. I still have a long way to go, but I am grateful for how much it has grown.

Love you all. go out and do something nice for someone today. It will make you happier. see you later.

What does the FOX say‏

So this last week so exhaustingly busy but it was so good. We are working so hard it is great. I don't think I have never been so tired on my mission! Tuesday we were able to go on exchanges. I went with a legend called Elder Davis. He is from a place in Utah that has like 500 people, Circleville, Utah. we went out to some towns outside of Sligo and we had a blast at finding. We set up 6 return appointments. He is a really cool guy. He hugged Olan Rogers if you know who that is.

We found a lot this week. Went out to a beach town 15 minutes away called strand hill and everyone there was just visiting. We had a lesson up in the other side of strand hill and while we were walking there we saw a fox just sitting in this Lady's yard. It was awesome. The nature and the beauty of Ireland is amazing. This world was definitely put together by a genius. I love my mission so much!

We had Family Home Evening that the Decusins put on each week at the church. We Brought Chris with us. Some things came up about how he has contrary beliefs. I was kind of worried, but the members were awesome. They said when they were investigating they had a lot of questions as well. One of the Members, Michelle, a convert of 3 years from Africa. Testified about true prophets and how to discern from a true prophet and a false one. It was so powerful. Chris just sat back and nodded his head. This branch is so good!!!

The Branch President, President Canaan, is awesome. He reminds me of King Benjamin. He came with us to do service for the Teirnans in the branch. We weed whacked their field. But President Canaan really shows how leaders are suppose to serve. I look up to him a lot because of how helpful he is to everyone in the branch.

Sunday after church they had a BBQ and we had burgers. It was great. The Euro's (Soccer Tournament) are going on so everyone is drunk and grumpy. haha Sunday night we were told to stay inside from 5 till 9 because Ireland was playing France haha. So we did our weekly planning.

Well I love you all. See you later. Church....yeah the whole thing is true.

Ramiumptom‏

So this last week was really good. First we got hair cuts and got light sabers so we looked like Jedi. Tuesday we were able to go to Mullingar and spend the night because we had Zone Interview Training the next day. We live 3 hours away from the stake center and 2 hours away from any other branch or missionaries. haha we are kind of Banishment out here but that is ok. We have one of the biggest  area's in the mission as well. Anyway, I really like the missionaries in my District. I really think that if we work together and encourage each other we can reach great heights.

We went to zone interview training the next day and we were definitely fed spiritually. It was great to meet with president one on one again. He is a great man and I know that he is inspired. He has the best intentions for each missionary and for the mission as a whole.

The next day we were on exchanges with the Zone leaders. I was with Elder Wilson who is from South Africa. Elder Wilson is a stud. He has brought so much wisdom and maturity to the Zone. He is really understanding and encouraging to missionaries. He recognizes that not every missionary is in the same place so he can minister to missionaries differently. While we were GQing (street contacting.) We stopped this girl and asked if we could teach her right there. It was a great lesson. She agreed with everything especially the apostasy. When we got to the first vision she was like, "wow...I am in shock." she committed to be baptized and she is asking if she can bring her friend to church. I hope that the zone leaders will help her progress.

Elder Udy and I got back to our area. Later on in the week we were able to teach Chris the plan of Salvation. It was a really good lesson and Elder Udy killed it. He brought the spirit so well. Chris came to church and loved it. He told everyone he is coming back next week. He also said he will be coming to family home evening so pray for him.

I love this work. It is true!!! I hope you all know that life is good. It really is. I love it. Life, if looked at with a positive attitude, will treat you well. See you all later.

This is me with my weapons of choice.

We have a balcony but it is only big enough for one person so we call it the Ramiumptom.

Pot of Gold

So this last week was pretty good. It was a harder one. We spent a lot of time finding without too much success. I know that this place and the missionary work will pick up here, though. You have to climb over the rainbow before you get to the pot of gold.

We were able to meet with this guy named Gareth. He is really just a stud. He is all about truth and he said that he would really work to find truth and then follow it completely. He use to be a born again Christian but then he left because of some of their teachings. He then became an atheist. He is totally willing to find out if we have a prophet in these days. He was excited to get a free book of Mormon from us. We have high hopes for him and we will keep you updated.

We were able to go on exchanges with the Mullingar this week. It was fun to get to know the people in the district. They are really good Elders and I can tell that this District is really going to work hard. We are praying that the Lord with consecrate our performance and that blessings will be poured out on our area's. We are branches but I think we have the potential to become wards soon enough. We just need a miracle :]

So if you have ever heard of W. B. Yeats he is from Sligo. It was his Birthday the other day so there were people reciting his poetry. We were able to get some free cake so that was nice. There was this puppeteer going around looking like Yeats scaring little kids so that was funny haha.

Well I hope you all know that I know that this church is true. It blesses us so much when we exercise our faith. I am happy to be serving here. Hopefully I can live up to Heavenly fathers expectations. Love you all. hope you have a great week. keep it real.

Top of the Mornin to ya!

This is Sligo. It is awesome. This is outside our new Investigators house

I am here in Ireland! it is awesome. So much has happened. So apparently the Baptism for Vicky went really well so that is good.

First of I traveled to Edinburgh Monday and then the next day we took a bus to the fairy. We got on the fairy heading to Belfast. It was great. It brought back so many memories of when I was going over there at the beginning of my mission. I got to travel with some of my friends from the mission and got to make some new friends. From Belfast we took a bus to Dublin and then we drove to Mulingar and spent the night. The next day we took a train to Sligo. A lot of travel but I am here now :]

I love Sligo it reminds me of Portadown a lot. It is a little bit bigger of a city but the branch only has 20 members in it. This week there were only 10 people there and 3 of them were our investigators haha. I led the music, blessed the sacrament, said the closing prayer, bore my testimony and taught gospel principles. There are usually more people here so this was a rare occasion. I can tell I am going to love this ward though.

We found quite a bit and got a lot of potentials. We committed one man from Cameroon to be Baptized, so we are Excited to see this place grow. We are really wanting to test the promises of God so we have been praying in faith for a certain number of potential in a time period. We have found over 20 people in the first couple days. Life is good people because this is the Lords work.

Elder Crowe is my ZL and he was in my first district so that is cool. We will be going  on Exchanges just like the good old days, but now we are hopefully a little bit more competent as missionaries. I am stoked to be in the Dublin Zone. I talk to Leprechauns every day! Top of the Morning and the rest of the day to you.

This is true. I know that the people need this. It has blessed my life so much. I love love love being a missionary. I hope I can be an effective servant in his hands. Jesus Christ is our Savior. See you all later. Keep it real.
