Prayer groups and singing

This last week has been awesome. We have been working hard and we are seeing a lot of good things happening. We were able to teach a lot this last week. We met with David again and he seemed to really like to learn about the plan of salvation. If you can keep him in your prayers that would be great.

Elder Giles and I went on exchanges. He is awesome.  He is going to be a stunt man for movies someday. He has lived in America, the UK and Germany. He is a great finder. We went on a little adventure trying to find this country house. We finally found it after a lot of dead ends and asking for help. We taught this little kid and the lesson was awesome!! He went up to his dad and said, "Dad they didn't do anything you said they would. They just were helping me learn about God." haha I love how honest kids are. The Father felt pretty embarrassed.

Even though I am 2 1/2 hours away from any other missionaries I am loving Sligo. This place is great. We are working hard and seeing a lot of cool miracles. This place is full of people who want to bash. It is pretty funny. I have learned how to deal with them. I defend the church with my testimony and they can't penetrate it. I show them the love that god wants them to feel. and they start to ask sincere questions. it is awesome.

Cool story: Elder Harvey is a beast. There was a guy who came up to us asking for 3 euro for his rent. We really didn't have any money. He seemed desperate. Elder Harvey out of no where just said, "go check your washing machine and your problem will be solved." the guy seemed to be amazed at first. He kept saying "are you serious?" Elder Harvey would just tell him to go check it. It was so cool. We saw him later on and his is still in his flat so it looks like Elder Harvey just prophesied. church is true.

I love this church. Repentance is what I preach. Converts are who I Baptized. Keep it real my friends.

Miracles not deserved!

Wow this last week has been amazing. let me tell you about it. So I went on exchanges with Elder Crowe who is my God father in the mission. We sadly had to do a lot of driving but we had a lot of good talks. We had the opportunity to go to an Elderly Lady's house to give her a blessing. When we got there immediately felt the love that everyone had for their mother/grandma. We walked into Ann's room and her daughter woke her up to tell her we were here. I was privileged to act as the voice in the blessing. The spirit filled the room and I couldn't help but notice that it helped everyone who witnessed it more than it helped the recipient. I am happy was able to be part of it.

This entire week has been really good. We have been working really hard and returning to the flat exhausted. This week as we have found it seems like people are just willing to meet up and listen to what we have to say. We were able to teach a lot. We set up a ton of appointments for this week as well.

We were GQing with the gospel art book. We stopped people and asked them what they saw. We stopped this guy and he said he would like to learn more right then. So we met with him in the costa and the spirit filled that coffee shop. He is preparing himself for Baptism. We are stoked about that.

We are loving life. Honestly we don't deserve these blessings that we are getting. It seems like with every effort that we put into the work he blesses us so much more. I am just happy to be a missionary. Sorry I don't have much time. I love this work. I love you all. Keep it real.

Wow Work

I don't know how to describe what I am feeling right now. I am so grateful to be a missionary. This last, if you look at it on paper, was a hard one. I don't think it was though. I found and been rejected most of this week because a lot of our investigators have been dodging us. That is ok though because you know what? the gospel is so true. If someone doesn't want it right now that is fine because I can offer it to the next person.

We traveled to Dublin on Friday and we slept over at another missionaries flat. There were 18 of us there because of moves so I slept on the hard wood floor. haha it was terrible. I told my trainer that I could do the white ninja challenge and I would do it when I get home from my mission. He said there is no way I could do it....I am believing him now. anyway, I got my companion Elder Harvey. He is from Alpine Utah. He is awesome. He loves soccer and he is a really good missionary. One thing I really admire about him is he is always finding. No matter where we are he will be telling people about the gospel. He is a really good missionary.

Shout out to my Friend Terry Bailey. He has just ended his mission in the Spain Madrid mission. He is an incredible missionary. He will kill it at home.
haha Sorry there wasn't much to tell you about for this week. Elder Harvey and I one night had an epic Nerf War. Sometimes as a missionary unwinding is the best thing you can do. Life as a missionary is fun.

I love ya. I am hearing about a lot of cool things you are all doing. I am hearing about what I am "missing out on." Let me just tell you that there is no place I would rather be than in Sligo as a missionary. You keep it real my friends.

Elder Davis
Elder Gullion (he was also trained in Portadown)
Elder Wilson
and Elder Tolk.
all good missionaries.

It is for the GG (Greater Good)

So we got Moves Call and Elder Udy is leaving. I was pretty bummed out because he is awesome. But I guess it is for the Greater Good. He is going to Dumbarton in Scotland and I will be getting Elder Harvey. I don't know anything about him. But he will be my favorite companion.

So this last week that I had with Elder Udy was really good. We were able to teach a lot of people. We got new investigators in ways we would never have thought of. We bought this banjo performers CD then we told him about our standards and he was so impressed he met with us. Our first lesson was on the commandments and it was awesome. The spirit was really strong and we committed him to live the word of Wisdom on the first lesson. He is from Holland and he doesn't know how to read in English so we will need to get him a Dutch BOM. We are also helping some our investigators with this dance class and while we were there a women came up to us and was like. "You are Mormons? I thought you Mormons were weird but you seem pretty cool. Could we sit down after dance class and you can tell me about your church?" It was pretty awesome.

Sorry I don't have too much time. I want you to know that this gospel is true. it really is. If we live it then we are happy. Just move forward with your life don't let past mistakes hold you back. don't let fear of the future discourage you. Focus on how you can be your best in the here and now. The Lord will bless your faith. I am proud to be a missionary. have all of the typical experiences that happen to missionaries. Speaking of which I had so many people try to Bash with me this week. They were all really hostile attacking right off the bat. I felt the spirit as I testified. I could see how far I have come in my testimony. I still have a long way to go, but I am grateful for how much it has grown.

Love you all. go out and do something nice for someone today. It will make you happier. see you later.
